Jessica and Jack were married in April at Rylands Farmhouse, a countryside wedding venue near Manchester Airport. Surrounded by open fields and rustic buildings, the venue offered the perfect balance of space, character and flexibility for a relaxed Jewish wedding celebration.

Morning Preparations

Wedding preparations began on-site, with Jessica and the wedding party getting ready in the main house. The morning had a calm but energetic feel — matching PJs, glasses of prosecco and plenty of interaction set the tone early on. Natural moments between friends, final details of the dress and shoes, and hair and makeup by Danielle Horan all came together effortlessly.

Meanwhile, Jack and the gents were getting ready in a separate Cottage, keeping things relaxed with beers in hand. A mix of solo and group portraits followed, capturing the balance of anticipation and excitement before guests began to arrive.

There were meaningful moments woven into the bridal preparations too — dress alterations being carefully adjusted with help from mum, followed by a busy, all-hands moment with the entire group involved. One of the most powerful parts of the morning was the dress reveal, shared with dad and the rest of the wedding party, before heading towards the ceremony.

Jewish Ceremony in the Tipi

The ceremony took place in the venue’s Tipi, beneath a traditional Chuppah (a canopy beneath which Jewish marriage ceremonies are performed) with a blue and white Tallit (a fringed garment worn as a prayer shawl by religious Jews) overhead. Led by dad, Ian, the ceremony felt deeply personal. Live music from Jessica's cousins Anabel and Toby accompanied key moments, including vows, rings, the unity candle and the glass being stamped — a highlight that brought immediate celebration and energy.

Drinks Reception & Portraits

After confetti, guests enjoyed drinks and live sax from Adrian Bosnea while mingling across the grounds. Jessica and Jack stepped away briefly for a relaxed couples shoot, making the most of the beautiful surroundings before returning for group photographs and some quality time with guests.

Reception, Speeches & Evening Celebrations

Table décor included meaningful personal touches, complemented by florals from Pampas Box. The wedding breakfast began with an entrance dance (which was immense), followed by speeches spread throughout the meal. As the evening arrived, celebrations continued with cake cutting, a first dance, and a high-energy Jewish dance, filling the dance floor late into the night.

Evening Celebrations

As daylight softened, there was time for quieter moments — solo portraits, time with family, remaining group shots, and a low-light shoot using the vines, driveway and fading light. Guests explored the pods, played games and settled in for the evening.

The evening celebrations kicked off with cake cutting, the first dance, and a high-energy Jewish dance, with foam props filling the dance floor. This was a lively dancefloor, and I loved capturing the chaos.

Final Thoughts

Jessica and Jack’s wedding was a perfect example of how tradition, personality and relaxed celebration can sit comfortably side by side. Rylands Farmhouse provided the ideal backdrop, and every supplier involved helped create a day that felt authentic, meaningful and full of energy.
