Faenol Fawr - Beth & Mike | North Wales Wedding Photographer

Beth and Mike celebrated their wedding at Faenol Fawr, one of North Wales' most popular wedding venues. Located in Bodelwydden, Faenol Fawr combines historic character, beautiful grounds and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, making it a fantastic location for relaxed, documentary-style wedding photography throughout the year.

The day began with a particularly meaningful moment in St Asaph Cemetary, where Beth,and immediate family members visited a family graveside to lay a bouquet in memory of Nan. It was a quiet and reflective start to a day filled with emotion and celebration.

Preparations then continued at Faenol Fawr, with hair by Leanne Liepins and makeup by Anna Baxter, alongside all the anticipation and interaction that comes with the final hours before the ceremony. Following dress details and final adjustments with mum, there were reveals with the wedding party and dad before everyone made their way to the Tudor Room.

Mike and the gents prepared elsewhere within the venue, sharing buttonhole and jacket preparations before relaxed solo and group portraits. As guests arrived, final décor details were captured ahead of the ceremony.

The ceremony took place in Faenol Fawr's Tudor Room, where Beth and Mike exchanged vows, rings and their first kiss before signing the register alongside their witnesses and children. Following the ceremony, guests gathered outside for confetti and a main group photograph before enjoying the drinks reception in the grounds.

The afternoon included a relaxed couples shoot, family photographs and speeches before the wedding breakfast. Live music from Kyle Parry helped create a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day, while the evening celebrations featured cake cutting, a first dance and a surprise 'Abba themed' dance that ensured the dance floor stayed busy.

Faenol Fawr continues to be one of my favourite wedding venues in North Wales, offering beautiful surroundings, excellent service and a wide range of backdrops for natural wedding photography.
