Vale Country Club - Lyndsay & Zach | North Wales Wedding Photographer

Lyndsay & Zach’s wedding at Vale Country Club was one of those days where everything lined up perfectly. The weather stayed solid throughout, the atmosphere never dropped, and the setting at Vale Country Club delivered exactly what you’d want from a North Wales wedding venue—open countryside views, modern spaces, and plenty of room for a relaxed wedding day.

Located near Ruthin, Vale Country Club combines lakeside surroundings with purpose-built wedding spaces, making it a strong venue for natural, documentary-style wedding photography in North Wales.

Wedding Prep at Vale Country Club

Prep took place in the Shepherd’s Hut on-site, keeping everything close and easy to manage throughout the morning. The focus stayed on interaction, reactions, and the natural pace of the build-up rather than anything over-directed.

The ceremony room also made a strong backdrop for detail shots, including Lyndsay’s dress hanging from the exposed beam before guests arrived.

Hair and makeup were handled by Look Fabulous by Sinead, while flowers from Together Wedding Floristry and the dress from Brides of Chester tied everything together cleanly without overcomplicating the setup.

Grooms Prep & Ceremony Setup

Meanwhile, Zach and the groomsmen were getting sorted with buttonholes on jackets and a few quick solo and group shots before guests arrived.

The ceremony room décor looked sharp throughout, with a lot of the signage, cake stands and personalised details created by Lyndsay’s dad—something that gave the whole setup a more personal feel.

Ceremony at Vale Country Club

The ceremony took place indoors, making full use of the clean ceremony space at Vale Country Club. Entrance, vows, rings and the exit all flowed naturally, with a couple of extra moments during the register signing including witnesses and their dog, Luna.

Confetti, Portraits & Drinks Reception

Straight after the ceremony, we moved into confetti and the main group shot before heading directly into the couple portraits while guests relaxed at the drinks reception.

Keeping the couple shoot first worked well, giving Lyndsay & Zach time to settle into the day before moving back to guests and group photos. The grounds around Vale Country Club always work well for portraits, especially in good weather with the lake and surrounding countryside adding clean backdrops without needing to travel anywhere.

Wedding Breakfast & Speeches

Speeches took place before the wedding breakfast, keeping the energy high throughout the room. Details like the flowers, rings, and the bouquet locket all added to the overall story without taking attention away from the atmosphere of the day itself.

I also had the chance to work alongside Shannon from Candid Love Stories, keeping everything relaxed and easy to work around throughout the day.

Evening at Vale Country Club

As the light started to drop, we headed back outside briefly for a short evening shoot before moving into the final part of the day.

The evening finished with cake cutting, first dance and a packed dance floor with music from Event Party DJ’s, alongside live digital illustrations from Tisho Llun that kept guests busy throughout the night.

From start to finish, this was a wedding that never lost momentum—great weather, a strong venue, and a solid group of people made it easy to document naturally.
