Thornton Manor Lakeside Marquee - Shauna & Ben
The build up to a Wedding always involves weather checks on the 'MET Office App', hoping that conditions don't hinder the Photography shoot. Especially when you have beautiful outdoor surroundings AND when it's mid autumn, when the tree's offer their full range of vibrant tones.
Fortunately, today, the conditions were glorious........
For the beautiful wedding of Shauna and Ben, the location of choice was the Lakeside Marquee at Thornton Manor. This was my first visit to Thornton Manor, which has several separate venues to marry on it's grounds. It's easy to see through these images why you'd choose this place.
Whilst I spent some time photographing the groom, guests continued to arrive..... including a friendly local :-)
The guests were ushered to their seats, whilst the bridesmaids absorbed the sunshine awaiting the arrival of the beautiful bride, Shauna. All before, the ceremony could commence.
Might I add, if you haven't read any of my previous blogs, that I am definitely a fan of the lighting in a marquee. The white marquee tent absorbs the natural light enabling crisp, sharp images of the subjects being photographed.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Whitley - Officially Husband and Wife.
The Marquee's location, as suggested by it's name, is at the side of a lake. Surrounding the lake and the marquee is a beautiful woodland, segregating this Lakeside area, with the 'Manor House' it self and the 'Waterside Pavilion'.
As the wedding was taking place right in the middle of autumn, the scene was incredible!
Stunning! A beautiful moment for the three of us (myself, bride and groom) to be a part of. All in time to get them back to enjoy a spot of Wedding Breakfast and some hilarity during the speeches - everyone's favourite!
Bridal party and guests were now able to sprawl on to the lakeside decking to embrace the last light, whilst the sun set, with a drink or two...and they were in for a treat, before heading back in for the party.
The dance floor is sectioned separately to the rest of the marquee, allowing a grand unveiling for the first dance - it really was worth it - absolutely stunning!
As the party kicked up a notch into full flow, It was my time to make a quiet departure, taking the opportunity for a last couple of images as I left.
Thank you so much to Shauna and Ben for trusting in me to capture their special day - I've since managed several more bookings at Thornton Manor at the other locations. So this time next year I should have a full house to view on my blog. A beautiful venue. Beautiful conditions at a beautiful time of year with beautiful people. All the very best to you Mr and Mrs Whitley.
