Tucked away in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, Merrydale Manor is one of those venues that just works—elegant, surrounded by nothing but fields, trees, and peace and quiet. It’s got a bit of everything: modern touches, a proper sense of space, and a warm feel even in the colder months. And for Sarah & Harry’s November wedding, the place looked unreal.

The autumn colours were still hanging on, the skies were clear, and the whole day had this relaxed, classy energy to it from start to finish.

Wedding Prep @ The Manor House

The morning kicked off at the Manor House, where Sarah and the gang were getting ready. The place was buzzing from the get-go—laughs, music, a bit of nervous energy, and plenty of action.

I grabbed some detail shots of the dress and accessories—everything laid out neatly but without fuss. The vibe was chilled and honest, just how prep should be.

Gents @ The Cave

Meanwhile, Harry and the lads were down at The Cave—Merrydale’s answer to a no-fuss, stylish prep space for the blokes. Jackets were getting slung on, buttonholes pinned and there was a bit of heated action going on at the pool and foosball tables.

We grabbed a few group shots and some natural bits, and Harry handled it all like a pro—relaxed and ready to go.

Back with the girls... Sarah was in good hands with her Bridal Party and it wasn’t long before the room filled with those moments you can’t script—hugs, quiet chats, the odd deep breath as the day started to feel real.

Then came a few standout moments: the reveal to her dad and Sam, as well as Maid of Honour, Robyn, upstairs in the bridal suite—plenty of emotion there. That was followed by a bigger one with all the girls downstairs—a proper reaction and loads of genuine energy. Then it was on to the Ceremony Hall for the important part.

Ceremony @ The Ceremony Hall

The Ceremony Hall at Merrydale is clean, modern, and lets the light in just right. The flower arch upon arrival looked top-tier and framed the whole thing perfectly.

Sarah made her entrance to a full room—big moment, but she seemed so calm. Vows were delivered with heart, rings exchanged with steady hands, and the kiss sealed the deal. Signing the register followed, and the whole thing felt smooth, well-paced, and full of meaning.

The newlyweds exited to cheers and headed straight into...

Confetti (and a Quick Shoot in the Ceremony Hall)

We kept an eye on the weather for confetti—thankfully it held off. The exit shots were full of movement and energy (also thanks to the wind), and straight after, we nipped back into the Ceremony Hall for a few quiet portraits under the flower arch—just a quick 5–10 minutes to soak in the moment before the drinks kicked off.

Drinks Reception, Group Shots & a Couples Shoot

We took Sarah & Harry straight out for their 30-minute couples shoot before anyone could grab them. And fair play—they made the most of it.

Once they were back with their guests, we cracked on with group shots—about half an hour of solid work, keeping it relaxed but structured. The rest of the time I floated around catching natural moments and a few candid reactions during the mingling time.

The décor in the wedding breakfast room looked spot-on. Clean lines, warm lighting, and nothing out of place—just tasteful pristine styling with a proper sense of occasion.

Wedding Breakfast & Speeches

At 4:30pm, it was time for the entrance—and not just any entrance. AC/DC’s Thunderstruck kicked in, and Sarah & Harry walked it in with absolute style. The canons hit, the cheers went up, and they owned it.

After that, speeches rolled out before food was served—a nice way to keep the energy going. There were big laughs, a few emotional bits, and plenty of love in the room. I took a quiet moment to grab some close-up ring shots and a few frames of the floral setup while everyone was distracted by the food.

Evening Do

The party carried on into the evening with sparklers, cutting the cake, then into the first dance - a moment that had everyone gathered round and fully present.

The band kicked in, the dancefloor started filling, and the energy just kept building. Merrydale looked incredible lit up at night, and I left with the place absolutely bouncing.

All Class

Sarah & Harry’s day had everything—style without showing off, emotion without fuss, and a November backdrop that added something unique to the whole atmosphere. It was classy, heartfelt, and a total pleasure to be part of.

Thanks for having me along.
