Brookhouse Mill - Delyth & Geraint
I've known Geraint's family for many years. In 2018, I had the honour of capturing Geraint's sisters' wedding at the Quay Hotel, Deganwy. 2019, and it was Geraint's turn. This time, by welcoming Delyth to the Madoc-Jones family. This was more of a local wedding too - in Denbigh Town, where I grew up. The day began with Delyth and the Bridal party at Delyth & Geraint's home, where they were having their make up done, by the very talented 'Ruby Tuesdays' of St Asaph.

Today's Wedding photography took place at some of the most iconic locations in Denbigh. The ceremony at the iconic St Mary's Church; 'Newly Wed shots' at Denbigh Castle, followed by Brookhouse Mill Restaurant/ Bar/ Wedding Venue with the incredible views of the Clwydian Range as the backdrop. First stop, the church to meet the gents.

With guests flooding into the church and the Brides arrival imminent, the gents took their seats in preparation for the main event. Delyth and her father arrived in this amazing cream and Purple "VW Microbus Deluxe, Tiffany", courtesy of 'Connah's Cars'. The ceremony could commence!

What a beautiful ceremony. All the more meaningful for me as a local, as it was the first opportunity that I'd had to capture a wedding at St Mary's Church. The congregation spilled out of the church for photo's, confetti and to share the love, before myself, the new Mr & Mrs Madoc-Jones and the videographer 'Ben Powell', headed to the historical and iconic Denbigh Castle for photographs.

Brookhouse Mill is a fantastic local Restaurant and Bar, who also offer a marquee service on the grounds opposite the Mill. Karen and the team who oversee the weddings at Brookhouse and are incredibly attentive and personal. There's always a great atmosphere at Brookhouse regardless whether it's a wedding or a simple Sunday beer in the sunshine :-)

After a drinks reception and a few family group photos, Delyth & Geraint opted to "get the speeches out of the way", before food....in order to calm the nerves. This is quite a common decision. Some like to leave it until after the meal, so that they and the guests have had a few more wines, making the job a little easier.
