Rydal Penrhos - Lorna & Sion

"With its vaulted ceiling, stained glass and parquet flooring, this room is steeped in history and has previously been the chapel and the dining hall. Now converted into a wonderful event space, here you are able to host larger events for up to 250 guests. The room opens onto the quad and gardens, perfect for pre-dinner drinks". I had no idea that the beautiful Osborne Hall at this beautiful iconic private school offered weddings and events hire. Fortunately Lorna & Sion had booked their wedding reception there and gave me the opportunity to capture it.

Lorna & Sion requested a customised package excluding wedding preparation, so my coverage began just before the ceremony at the Llandudno Registry Office, where I met Sion for some photo's, before the arrival of Lorna with her Dad. The ceremony could commence.

Congratulations to the newlyweds. The celebrations could now begin, with just the short ride in between, to Rydal Penrhos School and the stunning Osborn Hall. Their guests were there to meet them for the drinks reception, forming an aisle for the confetti walk.

Lorna & Sion had arranged a singer as well as an illustrator for entertainment whilst guests enjoyed the glorious sunshine on the stunning grounds. I utilised the time for some candid shots of everyone enjoying themselves as well as group photo's. Just before guests were called for speeches and wedding breakfast, I sloped off with Lorna & Sion for a couples photo shoot.

I took the time, post speeches, to photograph the detail of the flowers and rings, as well as Josh, the illustrators' final outcomes. This is such a cool and unique service to have on your wedding day. I'd highly recommend. Meanwhile, the sun had set and the inside of Osborn Hall was beautifully lit with ambient light. We took one last opportunity for a shoot with just Lorna & Sion, before the evening reception could commence.
