Faenol Fawr - Joanne & James

What a day this was!!! WEDFEST '23 - the wedding of Joanne & James at the Faenol Fawr, broke all traditions. It was an immense party and vibrant celebration. For me, an absolute honour to be part of and loads of fun!

Joanne & James took advantage of the whole of Faenol Fawr. The girls were getting ready in the hotel; the bar was open at the main building; the ceremony and wedding breakfast took place at 'The Barn', with the rest of the party and celebrations at the 'Wed Fest' tipi, which was located on a separate green around the back of Faenol Fawr. Check out the "festival field" and all the detail.

As I always do, I arrived 3 hours before the ceremony took place, to capture the details. From the dress and shoes to the hair and make up, there was so much to capture as well as those candid shots that everyone loves.

Now that James and the Groomsmen had arrived and with everyone sat ready for the ceremony, I took the opportunity to take photo's of Joanne and the Bridal Party, as they were ready well in advance. This is always a bonus and allows extra time during the drinks reception for yet more candid shots.

The detail at Joanne & James's wedding was so vibrant and colourful which really stands out in these photo's. The walkway to The Barn was also brought to life with these bright balloons. Inside, the ceremony was about to start, with James at the alter awaiting his bride.

After the confetti walk, guests were ushered towards the tipi so that the festival could begin, with an opening acoustic set from 'Holly & Jon'.

Whilst guests immersed themselves in Wedfest '23, I snuck off with Joanne & James for a quick couples shoot. They requested that the bulk of the photo's were to be candid, showing guests really enjoying themselves with a short couples shoot and very limited amount of group photo's scattered throughout the day.

Inside the Barn, the theme and colours continued to the wedding breakfast and the speeches. I loved the table plans all referencing Joanne & James' favourite music.

Once the food and speeches were finished, there was more entertainment in the main tent, with the amazing Sophia Sax. There was yet more chaos on the Wed fest field, which included Smoke Grenades and face paint.

The main act had arrived and were set up for the First Dance. 'Britpop United' were excellent and exactly the vibe of Wed fest... and credit where it's due, the wedding party didn't stop - the dancefloor was constantly full. Everybody were clearly enjoying themselves.
