Highfield Hall - Emma & Chris

After a few weeks off , I was back to my Wedding Photography routine, following an exciting commercial shoot in North Carolina and a week celebrating my wife's 30th, on the Italian Riviera. It was a deserved rest before a busy week ahead of three local weddings.

Emma & Chris's Wedding was first at Highfield Hall, near Northop, and it was great fun!

The lovely bride, Emma, owns her own salon, and it was there where the Bridal Party prepared that morning. Steph Griffiths Makeup Studio received the nod for the main event, with great attention to detail.

The Gents were already at the Hall, before the Bridal Party turned up to continue preparations and relax with a few glasses of Prosecco.

A major decision had to be made this morning. With just 25 minutes to go until the ceremony, the weather simmered. The rain had stopped. The wind had diminished. Therefore, a decision could be made to marry outside, rather than in the conservatory. This was great news for everyone, and for me as a photographer..... perfection!

Incidentally, these beautiful flowers were provided by Costello's Floral Design of Denbigh.

Now married, Emma & Chris, Mr & Mrs Parkinson joined me for a stroll around the grounds for some couples photographs, followed by some group photo's. I particularly liked shooting away from the other guests with the long driveway as the back drop creating a vibrant frame around the main subjects.

I love a good, long veil to capture. This always gives opportunities for a completely different variety of images.

Whilst the guests enjoyed their Wedding Breakfast, I became wired on coffee and I used the time wisely to capture the Wedding Rings, the flowers and a meaningful bible belonging to the Brides grandmother. It was so well looked after and made for a creative prop for the rings. All this before a call to capture the speeches and First Dance.

Part of my love for my job is due to the uniqueness of each wedding and the various requests of Brides & Grooms. It was beautiful to observe one of the Bridesmaids sing the first dance - excellent voice Nel.

Emma & Chris had also asked to see what I could achieve, combining the veil and vape smoke in a shot. So with a little creativity, off camera flash, and 3 willing vape smokers, we achieved the results!
