Vale Country Club - Steph & Olly

I now feel that I have photographed weddings at Vale Country Club in all conditions (except for, in the snow). Although the wintery rain and wind descended on us today there was no way it was going to dampen the spirits at Steph & Olly's wedding. If anything, it contributed to the day - and what a day it was!

My morning began just down the road at a rented cottage, in Ruthin where Steph and her Bridal Party were getting ready. The cottage was spacious and bright, ideal for capturing all of the moments during 'wedding prep' from the dress hanging up to the interaction and candid moments between the bridal party.... and everything else in-between.

With the Vale Country Club being located less than 5 minutes away, I had time to flit to the venue to meet Olly and his immediate family and groomsmen for some photographs. I also took the opportunity to capture the beautiful venue before all of the guests arrived. Steph requested that I return to the cottage for photo's of her getting into her dress before an emotional dress reveal to the bridesmaids and her father. We all then headed back to the venue - the ceremony could commence.

Guests were welcomed to the beautiful sound of Mold Choir.

Its official - congratulations to Mr & Mrs Bond. The celebrations could begin. Typically this is where we'd go outside for a big group photo and some confetti photo's but the rain had rolled in. Fortunately, Vale Country Club is beautiful inside too. This is definitely something that ALL couples should think about when choosing their venue... as sadly British weather could deliver absolutely anything. Plus, there are usually always breaks in the weather so there will be opportunity to head out at some point....

... fortunately todays bride, Steph, was well up for heading outside even if the conditions weren't great. Good on you Steph (and bridesmaids)!!!! The images still looked really vibrant and everyone looked amazing.

With group shots completed, guests were called in for wedding breakfast and speeches - one of my favourite times of the day for natural reactions.

With food devoured, this was a good opportunity to gather the guests for the big group shots - we incorporated the confetti. I love these results which clearly capture the iconic well at Vale Country Club. Steph, Olly and I then headed outside once more for some night shots utilising ambient lighting and some off camera flash, whilst evening guests arrived. The evening reception was soon underway.

I’d like to wish Steph & Olly a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
