Vale Country Club - Lauren & James
2022 was going to be a busy year for me at Vale Country Club - Lauren & James' wedding was to be the 1st of ten, this year. It's a "beautiful venue situated in the heart of the Vale of Clwyd, overlooking an area of outstanding natural beauty. The countryside setting is perfect for your Wedding photographs as the Clwydian Range creates a spectacular backdrop" (https://www.valecountryclub.co.uk/). Judging by these backdrops you can see the attraction.
The day began at Lauren's family home with her Bridal Party and parents. These pre-wedding moments are great to capture the emotion and interaction whilst the girls get ready. With Champagne and Prosecco flowing, the dresses hanging up and reference to the special day, all around, there are so many photo opportunities.
Before departing for the ceremony, Lauren wanted to reveal the dress to her Dad and Bridesmaids. An amazing opportunity to capture the reaction. I then left for the Vale Country Club to meet James and the Groomsmen. Then the ceremony.
The celebrations were underway. A photo of the entire wedding party followed as well as the 'throwing of the confetti' shot to begin the drinks reception. The weather and conditions for photography were perfect, revealing that iconic view of the Clwydian Range. Whilst guests enjoyed drinks and canapes I took advantage of group shots and portraits of the newly weds.
I always offer to photograph the wedding rings and detail whilst everyone sits for the wedding breakfast. This is my time to rest, before I'm summoned for the speeches, leading into the evening reception.
With a little free time before the evening guests arrived, I had an opportunity for more photos of Lauren & James, utilising different locations... as well as capturing guests enjoying the beautiful evening conditions. I love the pond at the bottom of the field at Vale Country Club, offering a beautiful reflection.
It was time to cut the cake before Lauren & James were led to the dancefloor for the tradition of the first dance.
