Vale Country Club - Jen & Dave
Jen & Dave were another couple whose wedding was sadly affected by Covid-19 and rescheduled on two occasions. Roll on the 11th June 2022, 2 years, 1 month and 2 days after their original wedding date, and it was to be their special day... finally... at the amazing Vale Country Club, near Ruthin.
The morning began with Jen and her bridal party at the nearby Longbarn at Caerfallen. What an amazing venue - perfect for a group of people to stay before a wedding, with amazing space and lighting for photography. Just up the road from Vale Country Club, it shares a similar vantage point, of the nearby Clwydian Range. The Longbarn at Caerfallen is a Grade II listed building - So both the interiors and exteriors ooze character, evident in lots of these photo's.
With hair and makeup complete, courtesy of Hair by Nia (Bride), Hannah Chloe Mobile Hair (Bridesmaids) and Anna Baxter Makeup Artistry, Jen was helped into her wedding dress, before a dress reveal to her family. It was then on to the Vale Country Club for the ceremony to take place, where Dave, their boys and the wedding guests awaited.
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Jones - it was a beautiful ceremony, and once announced husband and wife, Jen and Dave were able to celebrate outside in the glorious sunshine - another great day for outdoor celebrations and photo opportunities.
The Drinks reception is an ideal time to complete a big chunk of the wedding photo's. I tend to take this window to capture guests interacting and enjoying themselves as well as group photo's, a couples shoot with the newlyweds as well as capturing the room prepared for wedding breakfast, before guests are called in for food and the speeches. Vale Country Clubs interiors looked awesome on this day, as ever.
With the speeches complete, Dave, Jen and I took another walk around the grounds, this time with nicer evening lighting and a drama in the skies. The clouds made for a nice moody contrasting background.
The evening reception began, so time for the traditional first dance followed by a few happy faces on the dancefloor. Before I left, Jen, Dave and I took advantage of the low light, the long grasses and some "off-camera flash" - I'm so pleased with the results.
