My first wedding of 2025—and my first ever wedding at The Coach House at Soughton Hall—definitely set the bar high. January weddings can go either way with the weather… but for Danielle & Haider, we were handed a dream setup. A full blanket of snow still covered the grounds from the week’s dumping, the light was crisp, and the skies were clear. It was absolutely freezing, but the kind of cold where every photo just looks better for it.
I went through more hand warmers than I’d like to admit, and I wasn’t the only one. They came in use not only for me, but for the wedding party when we stepped outside.
This was a Nikah Wedding celebration, which meant a day full of energy, rhythm, colour, and detail. Bhangra drums, incredible outfits, and a packed schedule from the very start. Honestly—an amazing, unique wedding to be part of.

Wedding Prep – Cottage Vibes & Henna Details
The day kicked off at the cottage with prep in full swing. A nice mix of energy, nerves, and laughter—my favourite kind of start. Danielle’s henna looked incredible in the winter light, and the textures and detail worked so well against the snow later on.
Hair and makeup were underway (Hair by Nia & Makeup by Lyds), dresses and details were being photographed, and Danielle had the best people to help with alterations, in her daughter and Mum - A proper team effort.

Haider Arrives – Rolls Royce Convoy Down the Drive
Haider arrived in style with AJ Limos leading a Rolls Royce convoy through the Soughton Hall drive. I sped ahead to catch them coming down the long stretch of road—snow either side, engines humming. Some of my favourite shots of the morning.
We grabbed a few frames of Haider stepping out, helping his parents, and then I jumped straight into the Rolls with him to head back to the cottage.
That’s where Danielle & Haider saw each other for the first time. A brilliant moment—calm, simple, genuine. We grabbed a few portraits with the car outside the cottage before heading to the main event.

Entrance – Drummers, Snow & Confetti
The walk down the drive was unreal. Bhangracise were smashing out rhythms, the wedding party were buzzing, and Danielle & Haider made their entrance across the snowy grounds with everyone waiting at the Coach House.
As soon as they reached the guests—confetti. Snow underfoot, drums going, colour everywhere. A photographer’s dream.
We followed it up with the big group photo, before smoke grenades with the bridal party and groomsmen. After guests were able to show their love to the newlyweds, we captured a few extra moments in the snow before everyone warmed up inside.

Drinks Reception – Portraits & Warmth
Inside, in the warmth, the lively atmosphere continued. Guests danced to the sound of the drums - this was perfect for candid photo's. Once the drums stopped and guests were happy mingling, I took Danielle & Haider outside for a quick couples session. Soughton Hall is one of those venues where every corner works. Even better with snow.
Then we moved into group photos and grabbed a few details of the venue décor before everyone headed in for food.

Wedding Breakfast – Candid Gold
As Danielle, Haider & Jasmine walked to the top table I shot candid's of their arrival—some lovely reactions from the crowd.
Inside, the details looked great: The Craft shed Floral on the flowers, rings, turban detail shots, and the atmosphere set perfectly by Northern Quartet.

Speeches, Cake & Sparklers
Back inside, speeches had a great mix of humour and emotion—ideal for candid reactions.
Then the evening kicked off with Cake cutting, followed by more opportunity for group photo's, before ending the night with one last venture into the cold where we captured the sparklers.

An incredible day from start to finish—snow, drums, energy, colour, and two brilliant people who handled the cold like champions. My first wedding at The Coach House and definitely not my last.
