The Barn at Faenol Fawr - Sophie & Matt
Its lovely to capture the wedding of some familiar faces. I had the honour of capturing Matt's brothers' wedding in 2018 (see Beth & Ben's Blog here) and this time it was Matt's turn, to his beautiful wife, Sophie. Yet again, weather and photography conditions were on our side.
The wedding took place at the amazing Faenol Fawr, at "The Barn". I love working here - this was to be wedding #3 of 6 at Faenol Fawr in 2022. The morning began in one of the rooms, on the venue's grounds with Sophie and the Bridal Party.
Matt arrived in style in this beautiful Porsche, which looked great as it approached the venue up the long drive. Now that Matt and his groomsmen had arrived, it was easy to flit between the wedding party. This was also a good time to capture the guests arriving and the detail of the venue.
With everyone now ready for the ceremony and with Sophie's dress reveal to her Dad complete, the wedding could commence.
Congratulations to the newlyweds - Mr & Mrs Lindquist, together with their beautiful daughter, a lovely family who I'm proud to have had the opportunity to get to know. The next 10-15 minutes flowed beautifully - the celebratory walk down the aisle, some family photo's and photo's of the newlyweds, the traditional confetti shot and whilst I had everyone into position, a big group shot of everyone. I love it when it flows that well. Then everyone could enjoy drinks and canapes.
The Barn was prepared for the wedding breakfast, so I took the moment after group photo's to capture the detail before food was served, followed by the speeches. Incidentally, the food here is class!!
Now into the evening session and with everyone feeling far more relaxed, it was time to capture some wedding traditions. Before their first dance Sophie and Matt cut the cake, which was superbly crafted by Matt's Mum. With the sun about to set outside Sophie then rounded up the girls to "throw the bouquet". After an amazing day, and just before I departed there was time for the last glimpse of sun.
