Soughton Hall - Llywela & Andy

This is becoming a regular thing in 2022 - yet more glorious sunshine. This time for the lovely Llywela & Andy, who were such a friendly couple with constant smiles on their faces. They've been an absolute joy to work with and it certainly shows in the following photo's - an insight into their day..

The photography journey began several months before their wedding at Happy Valley and the Great Orme in Llandudno. The trees and flowers were in full bloom, the sky was clear and for a change, there was no wind on the Orme - perfect conditions.

Llywela & Andy's wedding day was to be celebrated at the incredible Soughton Hall, near Mold. "Soughton Hall is an exclusive use wedding and event venue. On the border of Cheshire and North Wales, this stunning Georgian country house is approached down a sweeping driveway and surrounded by landscaped gardens. Full of character, charm and warmth, this lovingly restored hotel boasts 15 individually decorated bedrooms and a host of grand, but cosy reception rooms that make Soughton feel like a home from home (https://soughtonhall.co.uk/)."

Wedding preparation takes place in a grand room on the first floor. There's lots of natural light flooding in through the high windows, which are a dream for a photographer, as well as the other wedding suppliers. On this particular wedding I was fortunate to work alongside Ben Powell Films, who I would highly recommend. The same goes for Hair Stylist Leanne Liepins as well as Make-up Artist Cathryn Kerwin-Rawlinson.

With the Bridal Party happy playing about fully clothed, drinking champagne in a bath, I went to find Andy, the children and Groomsmen for some nice portrait photo's. Another wonderful thing about Soughton Hall is that with all of the extra space, couples can prepare for their big day separately. This enables me to flit between them both.

With Llywela and her Bridesmaids "good to go", and with Andy and all of the guests in place, we could commence with the stunning outdoor wedding. The conditions were perfect for both the outdoor ceremony as well as the photography and videography.
