Llanasa Village - Gemma & Jodie
The sun was shining - it was the perfect day for an intimate wedding in a beautiful and quiet country village in the North of Wales. Gemma & Jodie chose to get married at Llanasa Church followed by their reception at the nearby Llanasa Village Hall. My mornings coverage began at Gemma's family home just down the road, in Trelawnyd.
Suppliers on the morning included Jane Davenport-Jones on hair with Lauren Davies the makeup artist. Once 'made-up' Gemma and the bridal party changed before a lovely dress reveal with Gemma's Dad, who looked fantastic in his kilt. I soon departed to meet Jodie (also Kilted) and his Family, at Llanasa Church.
I love the detail on all the attire associated with a kilt. There's so much to capture. The quaint surroundings in the summer sun made for a beautiful backdrop. Soon after Gemma arrived in their vintage wedding car. Now the ceremony could commence.
Congratulations to our newlyweds. Before the drinks reception could begin, there was time for a short confetti walk. Before Gemma & Jodie joined their guests we departed to the nearby 'Golden Grove' for a couples shoot on the stunning grounds. What a treat this was.
Gemma & Jodie wanted one final rehearsal for their first dance and opted for the beautiful lawns at Golden Grove. I appreciate I get to work at some beautiful locations but few have as much character and charm as this location, surrounded by rolling hills and countryside.
Next stop - Llanasa Village Hall for deserved drinks, as it was a scorcher outside. Gemma and her family and friends had decorated the village hall, so after a few detail photo's we had time for some group photo's.
With food consumed and the main group photo all done, we spent the free-time in the evening for more photograph's in and around the church grounds. Then the evening reception could begin.
