Hafod Farm - Jess & Dean

Between the beautiful towns of Llanrwst and Betws y Coed lies Hafod Farm, with it's astounding 16th Century listed buildings and spectacular backdrop. This was my first time shooting here and to make it even more exciting, it was the first wedding that I'd photograph in Wales since all restrictions were lifted from Covid-19. So.... sounds to me like a major celebration - Jess & Dean didn't disappoint!!!

The morning began with Jess and the girls at the bridal cottage, for wedding prep, whilst the gents prepared in the neighboring building out of sight.

Weather forecasts for the day seemed extremely unpredictable - warm sunny spells; heavy wind; driving rain; storm. 30 minutes before the ceremony, all looked calm, until 2pm..... exactly as Jess and her Bridal Party exited the cottage for their outdoor wedding... then, a storm.

But it passed.....Jess and Dean opted to give the outdoors another chance - they got their reward. What a beautiful ceremony.

The heavens soon opened again, for several hours. But that didn't stop Jess, Dean and their guests breaking open the Champagne and starting the party. The Drinks reception rolled into the Wedding breakfast and speeches, which then rolled into a live set from the amazing Kyle Parry, who even sang a track from the film Moana for the kids (and maybe some of us adults liked it too).
