Steph and Kieran were married on a beautifully sunny day in May at Henblas Country Park, one of North Wales’ most impressive countryside wedding venues. Set within rolling landscape with wide views and thoughtfully designed spaces, Henblas consistently delivers. The attention to detail, warm hospitality and flow of the day make it a standout venue to work at, and the scenery offers endless photographic opportunities from morning through to sunset.

Wedding Preparations at Henblas

Preparations took place in the bridal room, focusing on genuine interaction and quiet moments before the ceremony. Dress details, final alterations with family, and hair and makeup by Leanne Liepins, Aimee Paddock and Tasha Ball all came together smoothly. A relaxed dress reveal followed with the wedding party, with a more subtle moment shared later with dad.

Kieran and the gents prepared in the Man Cave, adjusting buttonholes and jackets before group portraits with groomsmen and dad. Solo portraits followed, using the beautiful mountain backdrop outside.

Ceremony & Drinks Reception

The ceremony was held on site, with a relaxed entrance followed by vows, the exchange of rings and the signing of the register. The exit finished with a mid-aisle dip, setting the tone for the celebrations that followed.

Guests moved into the drinks reception with live sax from Club Class Entertainment, creating a lively atmosphere while everyone mingled. Steph and Kieran stepped away briefly for a couples shoot, making the most of Henblas’ grounds, before group photographs and a look at the reception room.

Wedding Breakfast, Bongo Bingo & Evening

The wedding breakfast and speeches followed, catered by Marc Macauley, with florals by D&D Occasions setting the room. Then came Bongo Bingo — absolute chaos in the best possible way, and a huge hit with guests.

As the light softened, remaining group shots and a sunset shoot took place in the top field and secret garden — two of Henblas’ strongest locations for evening light. The night finished with cake cutting, a first dance, and evening food from the Woodfired Pizza Bar.

With its scenery, service and attention to detail, Henblas Country Park remains one of the strongest venues in North Wales for wedding photography — especially when the weather delivers.
