Faenol Fawr - Jo & Thom

I love a Faenol Fawr wedding. It's close to my home, so only a short drive away. The staff are great and so attentive to both the guests and the suppliers. The venue itself is beautiful with lots of locations for photo opportunities. Today we were celebrating the wedding of Jo & Thom and it was a great day.

The morning began with Jo and her bridal party at the family home in Prestatyn, for the 'Wedding Prep'. It was a full house with lots of opportunities to capture emotion and interaction, whilst taking moments to capture the small details such as the dress, shoes, hair, makeup etc.

With Jo in her dress and after a beautiful reveal to her parents, we all headed over to the church in Prestatyn to meet Thom and the groomsmen. The ceremony could now commence.

Congratulations to the newlyweds. Next stop - Faenol Fawr for the drinks reception. The celebrations could begin. Firstly, we completed a quick photo shoot inside the church to escape the rain. Fortunately the clouds disappeared so that Jo, Thom and I could head off for a lovely couples shoot on the grounds of the Faenol Fawr, before being called into the Barn, for the Wedding Breakfast.

I loved the 'Oasis' theme for the wedding - I like seeing something a little creative. The stationary and decor in the Barn, all looked great... as did the cake, by Keirls Cakes.

After photographing the rings and the flowers I enjoyed an exquisite dinner before being called back into the room to capture one of my favourite moments of the day - the speeches. I loved these reactions.

Post food and speeches, Jo and Thom were keen on another photo shoot, now that the rain had stopped and the ground had dried. We were treated to some lovely results. This lead us into the evening reception, where extra guests had arrived and the traditions of cutting the cake and first dance could take place.
