Marquee Wedding, Graigfechan - Eleri & Craig

You can't beat a Marquee Wedding in North Wales because quite simply, the back drops are epic!!! This particular wedding was located on the family land at Graigfechan, near Ruthin, high up on the Clwydian Range.

Once again Peak Marquee Hire did an incredible job. I love working with Brett & Haf - they are so professional and amazing at what they do. As is, florist, Sioned Rowlands and her team at Tulipa Flowers. These two really are the winning combo! Sioned even used a new breed of flower, within the bouquet which had never been seen before. Named 'Gwawr Cymru' this "new breed of Sweet Pea" was created, to be launched at the 2019 Royal Welsh Show.

Bride, Eleri, and her team of Bridesmaids prepared at their nearby home.... waiting for let up in the rain. A decision had to be made whether the ceremony would take place outside on the hay bails or, in the marquee. Regardless whether, the weather is an issue on the wedding day....... a little Prosecco sorts everyone right out in the morning :-)

The decision was made to marry under the shelter of the marquee and what a beautiful set up it was. Craig, the Groom, and his kilt wearing Groomsmen, waited patiently, before the wedding could begin.

The service/ blessing was delivered incredibly by a great friend, Julie, who had travelled all the way from Australia. Julie used some old wedding traditions in the service giving a very personal touch to the day!

Great effort from the gents in the kilts - there's so much detail to capture.

Typically the rain stopped straight after the service, but it meant that guests could mingle outdoors and embrace the scenery. I definitely wasn't short of Photo Opportunities. But first the Speeches, a load of laughter and some incredible food courtesy of Rowan, Imogen and the team from 'On The Hill' in Ruthin. If you've never been there.....GO!

Whilst the 3 of us (and the dog) went for this walk, evening guests arrived and the DJ and Band set up in time for the party.

And finally, with the sun setting, there was a final opportunity to take advantage, to capture these beautiful surroundings, using the sun for some rim lighting, silhouettes, star bursts and lens flares - sorry for the geeky photography terms.

I wish both Eleri & Craig a lifetime of happiness together. I loved capturing their day with great friends and family. If you know of anyone that might be getting married in a marquee or anywhere else in the world, and are in need of a wedding photographer to capture their day, please spread the word.

CONGRATULATIONS MR & MRS WOOD!!!!!
